In this age of communication, the media is important role in our lives. It helps us give many of information and share our opinions. Media also give influences to making choices and determining what we value in life. Because of it’s power to influence, the media is sometimes make people to be a consumptive either print or electronic. But in this writing, I just describe some positive influences on people by media. Multimedia has strong implications for communication, education, and entertainment.

With the help of telecommunication services, people now can use television to interact with others although the distance is very so far. For example is someone can win money by participacing in a quiz on TV from own house. Through interactive media an individual can choose the program and control the changes in program. The simple television has envolved into two way medium which contains information and entertainment such as movies, home-shopping, telebanking, news, music, and many others.

The other benefit that people get from the media is if there are disaster in some country or area, think of the donations come from after sufferings have been aired on TV. Also think of the millions of people who get information about job opportunities from newspapers. Media is also related well to advertisements. Media can not work without advertisements. But advertisement also make people to be a consumptive. So in order to minimize the negative effects of the advertisement or media, we must critical and determine what information is fact, what is opinion, and what are completely made up. We also must know the source of information by comparing the information from one source to another we can determine what is true and what is not.
